Mr McKenzie’s motion in the House for Select Committee to enquire into Dummyism passed the House yesterday. Clarence won the Handicap Steeplechase at Napier to-day ; Quamby and Loch Lomond next. The Ibar arrived from New York. There is a probability of a team of New Zealand footballers going to Sydney this season. The gaol enquiry was again adjourned. At Brisbane, the address, in reply was adopted.
