HOSPITAL TENDERS.

TO THE EDITOR, Sib—l see by your last issue that at a meeting of the Hospital Commitiee Mr Stevens took occasion to remark that 1 had been industriously circulating certain reports reflecting on the honesty of the Committee, and have also received a letter from the Secretary requesting my attendance to a special meeting for an explanation, wh eh I decline to attend, hut give through youi columns an explanation. Some time ago I tendered to supply certain articles for the Hospital. On tins occasion there were but two tendeis. My tender was not accepted. I had an opportunity of inspecting both tenders, and found in most of the leading arLicles required my tender was the lower one. Why was it not accepted? These are the charges 1 industriously circulated. Would the Committee kindly explain their method of deciding as to the rrspeotive merits of tenders. I have discontiuxed tendering, the President of the Hospital being the principal tenderer, and holding the contract at the present time. I am, etc , R. L. Bego.
