Mr Charles Bradl.augb, the member for Nothampton still continues bis lecturing tour through the provincial towns of England. At all his meeting he condemns th 1House of Commons in vehement language for refusing to allow him to take his seat. He is meeting with a considerable amount of sympathy, and several public demonstrations have been ma le in bis favour. He announces his intention of making another demand for admission on the 6vh August, .

INTERCOLONIAL. Melbouunr, May 28. A warrant lias been issued for the arrest of John Black, an employ'd of the Oriental Bank, who is charged with embezzling £IOOO in various sums. The fall amount of his deficiencies is believed to bo more than £IOOO. Black has not yet been arrested. May 29. Carter’s jeweller’s shop in Collins street was broken into and robbed during last night. Goods to the value of £2OOO are missing. No arrests have yet been made. The Australian overland line is interrupted. Sydney, May 28. Mr W. ,T. T'dckett, M P. for Paddington, has been offered and accepted a seat in the Cabinet, with the portfolio of PostmasterGeneral. recently resigned by Mr Wright, Minister for Public Works. The Orient sbamer Austral made a trip outside the Heads to-day prior to her departure for England for re fitting. A large party were on board the vessel during the run, which was pronounced to be very satisfactory. May 29. The Austral on her trial trip to«day fully realised the expectations of her commander, the speed acquired being 15 knots. The Aoctral sails for Glasgow on the 4th prat.
