The Claim, as is well known to residents in the district, contains ‘ a large quantity of gold, and the promoters of the Company feel-fully assured that when worked by a proper system it will give handsome returns. The Shares are mads small and the Calls light to favour the working men, whom amongst the Shareholders will be given a preference to work for wages. The river now is sufficiently low to start work, and by all appearances the weather will be such as to enable the Claim to bo worked continuous y until the summer flood ; and if such be the case the promoters have no hesitation in saying the undertaking will prove itself one of the best that for years past has been placed before the public.
