The proprietor of a threshing mill engaged in threshing the crop of oats grown by a farmer residing not much over two miles from Milton, has informed the Bruce Herald that the smut was so bad that each day by the time work was done all hand s were like sweeps. Mot only were their faces and hands blackened, hut the smut penetrated beneath their clothes.
