HOME AND FOREIGN, London, March 31. The Speaker of the House of Commons has vetoed a motion providing for the protection of the Houses of Parliament by a detachment of troops. Washington, March 31. Intellingnece has been received here that Apache Indians have taken to arms and raided the white settlements in Mexico and Arizona territories, and have massacred 50 Europeans. The Apaches threaten to annihilate the settle-a, and the Goverment has despatched a strong body of troops to the latter’s assistance. London, March 31. Two men named Dasey (query Casey) and Flannagan who were recently arrested at Liverpool, have been arraigned at the local Police Court on a charge of illegally landing explosives, and were remanded. It is announced that Lord Justice Brett will succeed the late Sir George Jessel as Master of the Rolls. It is currently repqrted in Continental political circles that Austria, Germany, and Italy, agfeetl to endeavour to avoid a onnfliet .with France, but at the same time to join in repelling anv attack that may be made by .that Power (sic). It has been agreed between the English and Spanish Governments that Dodriguez and Gastello, two of the Gorin refugees who were surrendered to the Spanish Government I by the police authorities at Gibraltar, shall now be released, hut that Macco, th<* leader of the. Cuban rebellion, shall be detained in custody as a prisoner of war. St Pctersbukgii, March 31. It has transpired that the police sue* ceded to-day-in surprising a Nihilist rendezvous, where a numlier of members of a secret society were assembled. A severe struggle took place, but ultimately eight persons were arrested, one of whom however committed suicide while iu the hands of the police. A quantity of dynamite was also seized on the premises. Paris March 31. Louise Michel,the notorious female Cora« munist, has been arrested by the police.
