The Otago Central team played yesterday against Excellsior, Otago Central scored 70 in second innings for 7 wickets, Excellsior won on first innings. To-day drizzling rain. Match played against Albions, who scored 75 in first innings and CO in second, Otago Central scored 50 in first innings, and did not play second. Albion won on first innings. A son of Major Atkinson’s is to visit Queenstown. All the narives were arrested at Alexandra north'for assaulting Mr Hursthouse and was committed for trial. Return asked tor by Mr Stout as to hona fides «f purchasers at the recent Land Sales presented to the Board yesterday. In one or twojinstanees returns looked upon with very great dissatisfaction. The question of Dummyism at late land r sale was again considered at Land Board toJ clay, and after discussion was adjourned. 1 Mr Stout has another motion under consideration, asking the agents some very pointed questions.
