THE PIKE NIX PARK MURDERS.

London. February 17. The trial of the Phoenix Park murder ease was continued at Dublin to-day. Janies Carey, oue of the prisoners, turned informer, and was examined at length. In the course of his evidence ho stated that he believed the murder fund was formed from money collected by the Land League, and appropriated for the purpose. He also stated that all the prisoners except two were members of the Assassins Committee, and gave evidence fully confirming the existence of aii inner circle of Assassins. Carey admitted that he suggested the use of the knives fir committing the Phoenix Park murders, that he gave ' the signal to seven persons engaged in the murder, and announced the approach of the victims. Ho averred that the chief actor in the murder was Brady. He affirms, however, that the operations of the Assassins Committee were hrectcd by a mysterious personage with whose name he was unacquainted, and who was known as “ No One.” February IS. The informer Carey has explained that Brady was stahhiiur Mr Buike when Lord F. Cavendish interfered, and Brady then turned on him and hacked him to death, afterwards turning lound and finishing M r Burke, after which he wiped the knife in the grass The other assassins were armed with revolvers. Cards were sent to three Dublin papers, stating that in the assassination they had executed the direction of the ‘•Just and Invincible.” Carey has implicated his own brother in the crime. The Land. League is supplying prison money for the benelitof the prisoners in the gaol. February 19th. At the Dublin Police Court to-day the prisoners under arrest on the charge of assassinating Lord F. Cavendish and Mr Burke in Phoenix Park were committed for trial.
