Airs Hall accordingly communicated at once with .Messrs liatfield, Ciuinuou, and Co, Glasgow, who also had received a letter from Mr Samson hut giving no further particulars The men, it appears, all belong to Glasgow, and the two seamen were the steadiest men of the whole crew. No satisfactory particulars can however be gleaned till tbe arrival of the mate, who is due at l.i'crpoolby the mail steamer in about, ten (lavs. The ciptaiu’s boat, v. e learn, steered a northerly course, mud only c me across one boat with savages, who kept at a distance and did not molest them. The total number of the crew lost is thus live, one of them having succumbed to the exposure and hardshiu while in the open boat with .the captain.
