In accordance with section 30 of the above Act, 1, the Property-Tax Commissioner do hereby give public notice that the TWELTH day of December is the tirno, and the office of the Property-Tax Commissioner, Government Buildings, Wellington, is the place, at which all persons in the Districts of Otago and Waitaki are required to furnish statements of all real and personal property belonging to them, in accordance with the said Act and the Acts amending the same. Distance, 1| mile. FARMER’S RACE, Of 5 sovs ; LI to second horse. Welter weight f'T age. Horses to he the bona fide property of the farmers three months previous to the race. To be ridden by farmers only. Post entry, 7a 6d. FLYING HANDICAP, Of 8 sovs j and 2 sovs for second horse. Distance 1 mile ; entrance, 10s. Post entry. Acceptance, ss. CONSOLATION HANDICAP, Of 5 sovs. For all beaten horses. Nomination, 5s ; acceptances, 2s 6d. HOSPITAL RACE, The rider of the winning horse to be presented with a whip ; second horse, a pair of spurs. Nominations for the Maiden Plate, Black’s and Vincent Handicaps must be received by the Secretary at .he Shamrock Hotel not later than 8 p.ra. on Friday, December 29. Weights for the Black’s Handcap to be declared by 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 30. Acceptances to be delivered not later than 10 a.m. on January 1, 1883. weights for the Vincent Handicap to be de dared after the Black’s Handicap is run. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 31bs. No entries to be received for any of the above races except on this condition— That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out nf the racing ahall be decided by the Stewards appointed to carry out the above programme. Their decision upon all points connected therewith shall be final. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Tho Dunstan Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced. H rses walking over will receive only 50 per cent, of the stakes. Any person entering a protest must deposit therewith L2, and should the same be deemed frivolous by the Stewards the amount will be fori cited. No entrances or acceptances will bo received on any pretext whatever after the time specified.
