Under the provisions of section 93 of “ The Mines Act, 1377,” we here' y make npplic iti>n for a Special Claim of one mile (more or less) in length oi the bed of thi River Molyneux, as pegged out bv us on behalf of our selves and co-adventurers, known as the Eureka Gold Dredging Co, for dredging for gold. Our lower pegs and trenches being on either side of the river Molynenx about 200 yards above the Bridge at Alexandra township, and the upper pegs on either side the same river from 200 to 300 yards above the Newcastle Coal Pit. And we apply under circumstances involving the expenditure of considerable sums of money, the dredge now working on the ground having cost over .£3OOO in construction, and it is affording steady employment to six or more wages men.
