Both N, S. W. Houses of Parliament were prorogued on the 6th inst. In the report on the New South Wales Railways the total amount expended on their construction since their commencement is shown to have nearly reached £100,500,000. The half-yearly statement of the Bank of New South Wales was published to-day. The directors in their report estimate tho net profits for the period at £BB,OOO, and recommend the payment of a dividend and bonus amounting to 174 per cent A robbery was committed at the Melbourne Post Office during the night of November 6. A mil bag containing registered loiters and packets, the value of which is unknown, was stolen, and no clue has yet been discovered to the identification of the thieves.
