BLACKS.

- (From our own Correspondent) The match for LlO a side, ono mile ; 10 stone up ; between Flannery’s Jacky Jacky and Fitzgerald’s Joker, late Tapanui, was run on the Blacks course on Wednesday the Ist inst., and won easily by tho former. The day being a holiday with a number of the residents there was a good muster on the course, and previous to starting the excitement whs keen. For some time there has been some speculation going on, mostly on even terms, though latterly and on the course 5 to 4 and 3 was freely offered on Jacky Jacky, and in some cases accepted by the Joker’s fanciers, who found that hia jokes took rather a practical turn which deeply affected the pocket. After the race an amount for a hurry scurry was subscribed on the ground, which was also easily won by Jackey Jackey.
