Sir Benj imin’a dam was imported from Scotland by Richard Brodie, Esq ; Young Ben Lomond’s dam, Blossom, was by Messrs M'Tntosh’s im ported horse, Prince Charlie ; Blossom’s dam, by Mr R Brodie’s imported mare Nell. This shows that "Young Ben Lomond is bred from imported st ok, both sire and dam’s side His stock have taken first prizes at the Blueskin Annual Show 1873, 1874, and 1875, against all comers. A one year old filly by him took first prize at Palmerston, in IB7G. Ben Lomond took first prize against all comers at Black’s Annual Show, 1881 ; also did some of his stock take first an 1 second prizes at the same show. Last year, a yearling colt and a three-year unbroken filly changed bands at LSO each. Tbe-e facts speak for themselves. He is a splendid worker and sure f al-getter.
