MY SWEATHEART.
She is neither short nor tall, Rather what I think you’d call Just the size ; Ani her hands and feet are—well. I’ll say ditto and not tell Any lies. Though her eyes are soft and Idue, They iiave not the brilliant hue Of the sky ; Yet when in their depths I look, Like a picture in a book. There a:n I. Not so very small her nose is ; Neilhe l ' are her cheeks like roses, Red and white ; And my M use does not embolden Me to call her fair hair golden, Though I might. Just a .village maiden she— Many ladies that you see Hank above her ; Men have sometimes called her pretty ; I have never thought her witty 4 But I love her.
