INTERCOLONIAL.
Forsyth, one of the defendants in the insurance frauds, who absconded, hut subsequently surrended himself, has bean sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. Messrs Elder, Smith, and Co., of Adelaide, are shipping supplies of horse-feed for the use of the British force in Ejypt. Fifty tons are being despatched by each outward mail steamer. A man named Barns, who was recently acquitted, at Melbourne, of murdering another named Forbes, whose headless body was found at Deep Lead, was immediately afterwards re-arrested for the murder of a Michael Quinlivan iu 1880. A farther warrent is out for Burns for a murder in South Australia. Burns has been remanded to Hamilton on the charge of murdering Michael Quinlivan in 1880. *
