,Tom. Webb, Junr.—The youth Webb, Bays the Dunedin Daily Times, who endured great privations while lost in the snow at Dismal Swamp near Roxburgh, was conveyed to the Dunedin Hospital by the morning train from Lawrence on Saturday It was found neceisary to amputate both his legs, so severely were they frost-bitteu, and the operation was performed on Saturday afternoon. His hands and arms are also badly frost-bitten. Wednesday’s Times says The lad Webb is, we learn on inquiry, progressing favourably. He is now so far recovered as to be able to cat, and is consequently regaining strength. St. Dunstan Lodge, I.O.G.T.—The usual fortnightly meeeting of the St. Dunstan Tiodge, 1.0. G.T., was held on Saturday the 12th inst., in the Town Hall Clyde. The reports of the retiring officers showed the lodge to be in a very flourishing condition financially, and making a steady increase in its members. Bro. Crawford, L.D., I then installed the following officers for the 1 ensuing quarter W.C.T., Bro. McFerran ; \ W.V.T., Bro. Treseder; W.S., Bro. McConnoebie ; W.F.S.. Bro Smart ; W T., Bro. Dunn; W.C., Bro. Walker; W.M., Bro. Sheppard ; W.1.G., Bro. Bourko ; W.O G., Bro. Watson ; W.A.S., Sister Cox ; W.D.M., Sister Halliday; W.B.S, Sister Wilson ; W.L.S., Sister Hustie. Bro. J. M. Munro passes to the chair of P.W.C.T.
