At the R.M. Court, Blacks, G«o. Field, Ida Valley, was fined £s® and costs for slygrog selling. Verdicts for £ls and £2O and costs were •given in the cases Mclntosh v. Hamilton, ■and Harrington v. Spain, cattle trespass .damages. The former claimed £3O, and the latter £BO. At the Warden’s ‘Court the two sp'-cral •claims of 30 acres on the deep lead were granted. St Batmans, July 13. A sad accident occurred near here yesterday to a man named Donald Glass. He was driving a thrashing machine acoss the Mauuherikia River about 5 p. m., when he •fell and received a contussed wound on his back. The accident was witnessed by several people, and be was immediately taken to St. Bathans, but died before reaching here. Deceased was supposed to bo intoxicated at the time.
