CRICKET.
THE AUSTRALIANS IN ENGLAND. London, June 19. The Australians commenced their cricket match at Sheffield against an eleven of Yorkshire. An enormous crowd of spectators was present. The weather was showery during the day, and the wicket was consequently heavy. The Home team went first to the wickets, but, with the exception of J. Phillips, who scored 38, they were unable to make a stand against the splendid bowling of the Australians, and were all disposed for a total of 92. Garratt and Giffen both did great execution. ■ The Australians then commenced their first innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had put together 94 runs for the loss of four The highest scorers were —Bamierman, caught, 34 ; and Murdock, not out, 42,
