The cricket match Australian v. Surrey was continued on May 20 at Kensington Oval. The weather was very fine, and there was a very large attendance. The wicket was rather bumpy. The Australians continued their first innings, and were all disposed of for 100 runs, The following were the highest scorers: Murdoch, bowled 26 ; Horan, caught, 20. The fielding of the Englishmen was excellent. The Surrey Eleven then went in for their second innings, and were all disposed of fo 40 runs. Garrett and Boyle bowled splendidly, the former taking six wickets for three runs and Boyle four for 16 runs (?) At the ch'Se of the day’s play the Australians had lost two wickets for 98. Bannerman semed 28 and was bowled.
At the cricket match on May 27 at Kensington Oval the Australians resume I their second innings, and succeeded in putting together the required number of runs, 119, for tbe loss of only four wickets, thus winning the match by six wickets. M'Donnell was bowled for 35, apd Horan was bowled for 33.
