Correspondence.

We do not hold ourselves responsible for the opinion expressed by our correspondents. TO THE EDITOR.. Sin. —1 no'ice this year the Clyde Building Society has not published its annual balance-sheet. If it is in the spirit of economy I consider it is false economy and likely to do more harm than good ; or is it that the directors do not, care to enlighten the interested and uninterested too much as to their doings? For my own part 1 feel perfectly assured that everything is fair and square and ivill hear the closest scrutiny, but everyone is not so easily satisfied. They want “to know you know ” and I see no reason why they should not. Yours Etc. Oxge A Shareholder. March 2, ISS2.
