INQUEST.
An inquest was held at Ophir. Indore J, tt. Jones, IN,, . .1. [V. on Monday ‘asr. the 23' iI inst., on the Indy of Ab-xamh-r M'Crac, wh<> was found dc.nl an the side of the road leading from Ophir to Matakaimi Slatmn. From the evidence elicited it upi I seared that deceased had been employed for ( the last two years as shepherd on tie Mala i kanni Station, aid ih-.i. on the morning of j the 21st inst. lie complained of tooth-ache. I and said he would go into Ophir and get Dr tydn to extract li e dcseased teeth. Evidc ice then went on to show that decease I did visit Ophir. ha i teeth extracted by Dr Hyde, and afterwards left for home ; an i that about six o’clock in the afternoon of the 21-st inst. lie was tound lying alongside. the road quite dead. Medical testimony went :o prove that death ensued from rupture of a blood vessel in the hums, and a verdict was returned accordingly. Deceased was filtered in the BlacksCemntrey, a large number of friends being present | to pay the last tribute of respect to bis , memory. l lu d> ceasod’s pocket was found a batch [ deposit receipt for .C3Ol besides s-une small I change, and wo understand that some .€”9 | or £4O was due him by his lata* employer*.
