PUBLIC! TRUST OFFICE OF NEW ZEALAND. ANY person may appoint the Public Trustee executor and trustee under Ins will or codicil. Any present trustee may transfer the management of the oust property to the Public Trustee, who wid thereupon hold such property upon the original trusts attaching thereto. Any person, company, association, •or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Tvtiitee upon trust for such uses as may be oefined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it may be placed in the Public Trust Office, for such trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said tu es. The advantages offered are:— Ist. State Guarantee against peculation, fraud, or dishonesty. 2nd. All proposed investments are considered by a board, consisting of the Honorable Co'onial Treasurer, the Attorney (.ei.eral, the Comptroller and Auditor Geneve!, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Public Trustee. Careful consideration of all securities offered is therefore ensured. 3rd. The Public Trustee, in his corporate capacity, never dies, never ■LEAVES THE COUNTRY, and afEVER BE•comes incapacitated, thus avoiding ihe many inconveniences resulting Irora frequent fresh appointments of Trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity. 4th. Punctually and prointitiido in the remittance of periodical payments to beneficiaries under trust or will to anv part of the colony or elsewhere at which it may be desired that payments •should be made. Reasonable charges; On estates such as are now being considered the Public Trustee is authorised to charge HpM cent, on all receipts, and Fj Tier cenr on disbursements, and 5s per ■vnK on all moneys invested. No rbarge is made lor obtaining probate, ■ nop lor passing stamp and property tax returns, nor for correspondence however voluminous. Thus the saving to placed in this office is considerable.
