Nancy, own sister to liob the Ranter, has obtained two fust prizes at the Taicri Show and was bred by Mr Robert Muir. The first prize dry mare at Oamaru in IS7B was own sister to Rob the Ranter, and also bred by Mr Muir. Rob the Ranter is a dark bay horse, stands Kij Bands high, i-t ji quiet docile temper, and lias proved himself a sure foal getter. He was exhibited at tins Taieri Show in 1874, where in- gained first prize. Beating nine others; in 1875 he was placed second, healing seven otln rs. When three years old, he was placed third at the Waikonaiti and Shag Valley Show in 187 d When four years old, he took first prize nt the same Show in 1877, beating live others, and in 1878 he was awarded first prize over seven others. At Biueskiu the same year be was placed first-., Beating s.x ntlur competitors. He also caried oil' tin- f wespstakat Bbuskin the same rear for best animat on the ground. In 1879 he was awarded third prize at the Metropolitan Show, Dunedin, beating Mr Grant's imported horse mid several other renowned priz, --takers; and he was a second at Waikonaili the same year. In 18SD, he took first, prize at the Waikonaili and Shag Valley Show ; urst prize at tlie Blue-skin Show, and the champion prize 'for the Best repiescntativu of the draught breed, and third prize at the Metropolitan Show tlie same year.
