Feraud, o Monte Christo, Clyde, Otago, two sample of Aromatic Tonic Bitters, with the follow ing result No. 827 is a sherry colored and No. S2Sis a port wine red colore liquid ; they arc both perfectly transparcu showing the purity of the water and othc substances employed in their manufacture. These two beverages have a slight aci chemical reaction, and possess an agreoab! coni bitter taste, blended with a sensatio of sweetness, arising from the sacharin matter of the fruit of which they are th fermented extract. 1 have also examined the aromatic an other flavoring substances used by M Feraud in their manufaoluve, and from th proportions in which they are blended v it the fruit wine, they must be pronounce' perfectly safe, and free from anything Id; deleterious properties. I consider this wine, therefore, an agree? ble and perfectly safe beverage, and whe diluted with three or four times their bull of water, they will make a good coolin summer drink. JAMES G.
