Vincent County Gazette VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL. Special order made in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in Sections 36 and 60 of “ The Counties Act, 1876,” altering the number of ridings and the number of councillors to be returned. Statutory public notice ia hereby given that, at a special meeting of the County Council to be held in the Council Offices, Blythe-streot, Clyde, on Saturday, October 29, 1881, at noon, a resolution will bo submitted to confirm the Council’s resolution under date of September 29th, 1881, as follows : “That the number of ridings in Vincent County be reduced to eight; •and that for this purpose the Ridings of Nevis and Kawarau bo amalgamated under the name of Garrick Riding, and that the Council order thereon, and that one member of the Council be returned by and for each riding. General Notices. EUREKA! EUREKA!! NOTICE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. NEW LIVERY STABLES. PROPRIETOR. HE noted BILLY WOODMAN has much pleasure in intimating to his numerous friends and acquaintances that he has commenced business as a livery stable keeper in the premises at the rear of tho Junction Hotel, Clyde. Billy has at his command 14 stalls, 2 loose boxes, and a luxuriantly-grassed paddock. Tho usual amount of civilty, attention, and benignity will be condescendingly bestowed by the irrepressible Billy upon his patrons ; and his well known character as a groom and a horsey man will be a sufficient guarantee that everything connected with tho stables will be “0.K.” and on a correct scale ; and that the horses will be properly groomed and well fed. One trial will prove that Billy’s stables cannot bo surpassed for tucker and bedding. That well-known hostelry the Junction Hotel has lately been thoroughly repaired and done up. A new bath-room has been added to the hotel, and the bedrooms are detached from tho main building.
The culinary department is under the control of an experienced cook, and the food cannot fail to please the most fastidious epicurean stomach. NOTICE. MUSIC! MUSIC! MUSIC! INTENDING MUSIC PUPILS are informed that they can commence their lessons as soon as posssible.
