Meeting.
VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL.
The following is the Order Paper for the next meeting of the Vincent County Council to be held at Clyde on Wednesday next; • Business for consideration at a special meeting, convened upon the requisition of Councillors Macginnis, Bitches, and Naylor—“That the number of ridings in Vincent County be reduced to eight; and that for this purpose the Ridings of Nevis and Kawarau be amalgamated under the name of Garrick Riding; and that the Council order thereon.” Adjourned Motion. Cr Fraser to move—That the Government be requested to apply tho scheme ot constructing roads through lands about to be sold to the Vincent County, seeing that a large area in the same will shortly be available for settlement. Notices op Motion. 1. Cr Slronach to move—That the road between Sections 23, 24, 28, and 29, Block I, Tiger Hill, be opened for traffic at a cost not exceeding £3O. 2. Cr Fraser to move—That the Government bo requested to improve the Haast Pass track on the southern side of the saddle; the Vincent County having no funds at their disposal to do the same. 3. Cr Fraser to move—That the Engineer be instructed to report at the next meeting of the Council, the feasibility of removing the Rocky Point Bridge to the Lindis River, and constructing a bridge over the same therewith. 4. Cr Fraser to move—That the Engineer be instructed to keep the roads in the Hawea Riding in repair during the months of October and November, should any revenue be available for doing so.
