The winner to be sold for £l2, and the surplus (it any) to go to the race fund. Three quartermile heats. No weight under 9st. Post entry. Nominations for the Alexandra and the District Handicaps to be sent in to the Secretary before 8 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 1881. Weights for the Alexandra Handicap will appear in the “ Dunstan Times ” on Friday, Sept. 23, 1881 ; and the acceptances for the same must be sent in to the Secretary before 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 6. Weights for the District Handicap will be declared after the Alexandra is run. Entries for the Maiden Plate will close at the same time. No person allowed to nominate a horse for either of the Handicaps unless ho be a subscriber of not less than £1 Is to the race fund. Three horses to start in each event, or no race. No entries will be received for any of the above races except on the following condition’ : —That all disputes arising out of the racing shall be decided by the stewards, and their decision final.
