MR VINCENT PYKE AT NASBBY,

Mr Pyto addressed a meeting of 200 electors on ‘‘The Land Question," on May 7th, in the Town Hall, Naseby, His Worship the Mayor occupying the chair. Mr Pyke was very warmly received, and spoke amidst almost continuous applause. The following resolutions wore adopted unanimously Mr J. Creighton moved, and Mr Sharkey seconded (1) That it is desirable that a branch of the Otago Central Land League bo formed at Naseby. That this meeting considers that the workof the league should be, first, to co-operate with the other branches in moving to have the runs cut up in such a manner that the wants of every section of the community may be supplied. That the league should also take into consideration the administration and working of the Land Law, and should take further action to effect necessary alterations and amendments in the Land Act.

Moved by Mr Ash, and seconded by Mr Curry:—(2). That the Branch Committee consist of Messrs Creighton, Ash, L. Hore, Young, Wilson, Sharkey-, J. Hore, Curry, Mulholland, Plummet, Guffie, White, and Law, with power to add to their number. The meeting terminated with a vote of thanks to the Chairman.
