DUNEDIN STOCK REPORT. lilr Donald ’Stronach (on behalf of the 'New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency 'Company, Limited) reports as follows for the week ending May 4th t Fat Cattle.— In consequence of the shortness of the supply to-day, the market showed a decided improvement. Only 86 were yarded (of which 20 were stores). The fat cattle sold as follows t—Bullocks, L 6 15s to Ll3 5s ; and cows, L 5 2s 6d to L 7 12s 6d per head— or equal to about 25s per 1001b. *

Fat Calves.—Eleven head were yarded, •which realised from IDs to 40s each. Fat Sheep were also in small supply, the pens containing 1285 head cross-breds, which sold at from 1 Is to 15s each, showing an improvement of Is to la 6d per head. We sold drafts as follows ;—On account of Messrs S. Quartley, David Corsan, Wilson Bros., and B. and j. Baton, at 10s to los per head. Quotation for prime mutton 2id per lb.

Fat Lambs.—4o were offered, and sold at 11s 3d per head. Fat Pigs.—24C were forward, and realised from 14s to 61s each, being a decided decline on last week’s prices, owing to the full supply. Wool.—We held our sixth regular sale of '■the season at the Otago Wool Stores yesterday, when we disposed under the hammer of 111 bales and 55 bags of miscellaneous lots at prices which will he found detailed below, showing on the average a decline of about Jd per lb on those ruling at our earlier sales, held previous to the report of the decline in the London market. The following was the range of prices :—Crossbred greasy, 7sd to 9,pi ; scoured, 12«1 per lb ; merino greasy, 7Jd to B|d ; and scoured 14d to IG.JcI per lb. Sheepskins.—We had a large catalogue consisting of about 3000 skins, which sold •as follows ■; —Butchers’ -crossbred skins fetched Is lOd to 4s forordinary, and 4s 5d do 6s lid for full-woolled ■; merinos, Is 9d -to 4s lid ; lambskins, Is 8d to 4s7d ; pelts, lOd to ls 5d each ; scoured skins in bales (short in the wool) 6Jd to Gjd per lb. Hides sold at from los to 2Gs 6d each ; ■yearlings, calfskins, etc. in proportion. Tallow at up to 2Gs per cwt. for fair quality, and rough fat at up to ICs 6d per cwt.

. Grain.—Wheat : We quote—prime Milling: 3s 10(1, fair to good 3s 6d to 3a Bd, in fcnor and fowl-feed 2a to 3a per bushel. Oata are a shade firmer. We quote—good feed la 7d, and milling la 8d to la 9d. Barley : Prime malting can be disposed of at 2s 9d to 3a per bushel.
