London, May 4. It is announced that the Irish members of the House of Commons will shortly propose a vote of censure on the (Right Hon. W. E. Forster, Chief Secretary for Ireland, for his action in connection with the arrest of Mr Dillon, M.P.

Three Greek army corps are being prepared to occupy the territory in Thessaly and Epirus, which is to be ceded by Turkey for the extension of the frontier. May 6. Mr Parnell has given notice in the House of Commons of a motion for the rejection of the Irish Land Bill.

May 8. Tho Right Hon. Mr Gladstone is indisposed, but his illness is not of a nature to cause alarm.

News has been received that several riots have occurred in Ireland over the service of writs tor eviction of tenants, and the collisions between the police and people have been of a serious character.

Paris, May 8. Telegrams have be»n received from the head-quarters of the French army in Tunis stating that the force is slowly advancing towards the capital. The Porte and the Bey have issued a further protest to the Powers against the action of the French Government in sending an expedition to Tunis. The French Government have announced that after the Tunisian tribe of Krottmirs had been punished by the French troops the expedition would terminate, and that diplomatic negotiations with the Bey would follow.
