Mr Donald Stronach (on behalf of the N«w Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports as follows for the week ending April 27th : Fat Cattle.—lß9 head were yarded to day, including 20 stores and dairy cows, which were disposed of at about the level of lasti week's prices. Bullocks realised from L 5 15s to LH 5s ; and cows, L 4 15s to L 6 15s per head. We quote best beef 22s Cd per 1001b. Fat Calves.—Only four were offered, which sold af 14s to 193 each. Fat Sheep.—A moderately full supply was forward, numbering 2027, of which 190 were merinos. Trade demand was not sufficiently brisk to support last week's rates save in a few instances, the decline generally reaching Is to Is Od per head. Crossbreds sold at 10s to 14s 3d, and merinos at 9s. We sold as follows :—On account of Mr John Duncan, Cherry Farm, 187 crossbreds, at 10s to 10s 9d ; and on account of Mr D. Lawson, Whitopeka, 35 atlls9d; of Messrs Wilson Brothers, 39 at 10s; of Mr Collin Young. Maheno, 30, at 10s 9d. Quotation for prime mutton, 2sd per lb. Fat Lambs.—lß -irave penned, and at 93 3d per head. 15s up to 04s. We sold 25 on account of Mr Daniel Koll, of Waitohi, at 183 to 51s per head. Store Sheep continuo in strong demand. We report sales of 1500 head, also of 100 Leicester rams, on account of the New Zealand and Australian Land Company (Limited). Wool.—We have received prices catalogues of the London auctions down to 10th March, showing that New Zp.ll.lnd wools had not participated to any gi tent in the decline exhibited on other descriptions. We purpose holding a sale at the Otago Wool Stores on Tuesday when we shall offer various parcels. Sheepskins.—Crossbreds fetched from 2s to 5s Sd, up to 7s 10d for very heavily woolled 5 merinos, 2s to 4s 10d ; lambskins, Is 7d to 2s 5d ; pelts, 611 to Is 5d each. Our next sale will be held on Tuesday. Hides.—By public sale we cleared a large lot of hides calfskins, &c. Prices for hides, 18s Cd to 25s 6d, according to condition and weight, the latter price being for average 611b each. Tallow.—We have sold all consignr forward at up to 25s 6d for fair qu ~ tallow, and l7s per cwt. for rough fat. Grain—Wheat : Prime milling, 3s 9d to 3s 10 ; fair to good, 3s 6d to 3s 8d ; inferior and fowl's feed, 2s to 3s per bushel.
