It has been at work here for tho past three weeks. Tho crops have turned out above tho average.
Mr Ewing ban nearly finished tho tailrace into his claim at Pigeon Hill. This has been a heavy work. Tho greatest depr.h is about .‘loft, and a largo number of men are employed constructing the race. Tho worst is now over, and, if nothing Happens, work will bo commenced in the claim in a few days.—The channel on Shepherd’s Hut Elat is progressing. The work was started two years since, and another year will pass before it will bo finished.
