MR PYKE AT TINKERS’ GULLY.

A crowded meeting of electors was held at Mrs Mellor’s Victoria Hotel on the 12th instant. Mr John Mellor was voted to tho chair. The Chairman introduced Mr Pyke to tho meeting, and asked them to accord him a fair hearing. Mr Pyke’s address was the same as the one he delivered at Clyde. A motion was proposed, which was the same in every respect as the one passed at Clyde on Friday. Mr Murphy promised, and Mr Huddlestone seconded—That Messrs Sammou, M ‘Cluskey,Greenback,Murphy,Read, Sec., Huddlestone and Shannon he appointed a Committee,—Carried. The meeting concluded in tho usual way.
