Store Sheep of every description, excepting broken-mouthed merinos, are in considerable demand. During the week we have sold 8950 head. Wool. Public Press and other telegrams have put us in a p ssession of advices of the opening ofihe London auctions, and concur ia • eporring a de,li e on November prices <>t ah nit 7-i per cent. We have just received the following from mr Loudon office under date 21-t instant —The sales progress firmly (i eisy and eonibiiig washed have declined Id per lb since doss of last sales. Competition on French account.is sluggish Sheepskins. —We offered a small catalogue on Monday, which met with fairly brisk competition. Cross-ly, el i 3 skins Inched 4s M to 4s 4'; merinos, 2s to 4s 41; shoar!imt?,l,6l to 2s Id,; laralWskias, 1-fiJ to 271; pelts. Is 3d each ; station skills, ia bales 7$ 1 per lb. Hides.—T e ma ket continues firm, and the demand good. We have made sales up to 25- 6.1 for well-conditioned heavy. Tallow.—We quote well re tiered tallow 25s ; ordinary, 22s to 23s perewt; and rougn fat, 16 par cwt. G-rain. —Wheat: The new crop is now comi g in in good condition, and samples are on the market. Consumers, however, evince no disposition to lay in sucks, consequent!, pinch .tos nre made only to supply present needs. We quote 3s 9l for prime milling; 3s to 3s 61 for or.linar ; 2s 61 to 3s for fowl toed. Oits: There has been Some inquiry for feed oats for shipment, and several sales huv been made at late rates, at -which' all parcels coming to him 1 aio readily placed. Local demand has slightly' improved. Quotations, Is 4$J to Is Cd for le d oats. Burley: A few small sales of inferior quality hj ive taken place, but in malting thero are no transactions to yell art, and quotations would, be nominal.
