STOCK REPORT.

Mr Donald Stronach (on behalf of the New Z-aland Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports as follows for the week ending February 15th : Fat Cattle.—242 head wer yarded at Barnside to-day; which, being considerably in excess of t-ade repair-meats were difficult to dispose of at barely last week’s prices, and some pens were turned nut unsold. Bullocks realised from 1,4756 dto 1,10 12s 61, and cows, LstoL9 2s 61 per head. We sold drafts as under.—On account of Messrs Little Brnthers. co ;s at L 5 ; of VI r Gen. Wallace, bullocks at ff m L 7 2s 61 to LB, and cows at from Lst,oL§2s6d. of Mr F. tichaw, bullocks at 1,4 7-61 to L 8 15s; and of Messrs Wilson Brothers, bullocks at L 6 Ufa to 1,7 per head. Quotations for prime beef. 20s per lOOlbs Fa Sheep’—The market wa 1 fully supp’icd with 220!) heart, of which 698 were stores. Fat sheep realised from “a 3d to 11s 6d for ero shreds, and 4s to6s 9d fir merinos, showing a slight decline on last market rates. We sold a draft on account of Mr William Shand, at IDs 91. and quote prime mu ton 1} I per lb. Fat Lambs.—4s4 were penned, whi hj sold atfrons.s6d to 9s 61 each. We disposed of drafts on account of Messrs J. and S. Wilson, little Brothers, Wm. Shand, and J. G. Grey, at from 7s to 8s 61 per head. , , Fat Pigs.—6fli sold at from 13s to 65a each.

Store Sheep—We have how particulars of some well-bred merino ewes—2. 4, 6, and 8-tooth—for delivery about the end of the month Wool.—Our No. 4 public sale for the present season was held on Tuesday, the 15:h instant. Tfie catalogue met with fair competition, but biddings were not on the whole quite so brisk aS at our previous auctions. Sheepskins, —We offered a largo catalogue on Mo day, which was cleared at good prices. Quotations realised were as follows. Fullwooled cross fireda skins, 4s 3d to 6s 5.1 ,■ merino, 4s Id to 5s 9J ; shearlings and ordinary skins, Is 4d to 3s 31; lambskins, Is 6,1 to2fs6d; p-lts. Is to Is 4i ; skins in bales, 6jd and 7Jd per lb. TliJcs. —We have made sales at from 20s to 2os 6J o ich for salted hides, and the demand shows no signs of abatement.
