Brodie’s imported mare Nell. This shows that Young Ben Lomond is bred from imported stock—both sire and dam’s side. His stock have taken first prizes at the BhieskinaAnnual Show in 1873, 1874, and 1875, against all comers. A one-year-old filly by him took first prize at Palmerston, in 1870.
