We quote prime’beef, barely 22a 6d per 1(101?. Fat calves.—Six were sold at from 14a to 31b 6d per head. Fat sheep,—Onlv 853 head were penned, consisting of (158 cross-bred and 200 merinos. Notwithstanding the smallness of the supply, biddings were entirely without animation, in 'consequence of butchers heinq still in stock. Crnss-lireds sold at from 7s fid to 9s 9d : and merinos, Cs (id to 7s 9d per heul. We diseased of drafts on account of Mr I. ('. Buckla d and Messrs .1 and Si Wilson, at 8s 3d per held. Wc sir'll sell about 100 head of quiet well-bred cattle at Mosgicl Yards on a huraday, the 13th January. Sheepskins.—At our weekly auction on Tuesday •we disposed of several lota, principally station skins, prices scarcely supporting quotations qflast week. Cross-brcds fetched 3a 5d to 5a 7d; merinos, 2s 7d to 4s 9d; lambskins, la 7d ; pelts up to is each, and skins in bales. 5 and seven eights’ to 7d tier lb. Hides.—We quote at hitherto fid and three-fourths per lb. for wet-salted, and 20s each for butchers’ green hides.
