VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL.

The following it, the Older Paper for the next meeting of the Council which rakes place on Wednesd iy, the 24 ihj November : Election of Chairman. Notices of Motion. 1. Or Stronacii to move—That at tho next ordinary meeting of the Council, the construction of the Lauder Bridge, in concurrence with tho Maniototo County Council, bo considered. 2. Cr Naylor to move—That the motion for withdrawing payment of expenses to members of the Council be rescinded, and that such expenses be continued at former rates. 3. Cr Pvke to move — That the resolution of the Council dispensing with the services of the Inspector of Roads .be rescinded, and that the late Inspector, Mr M'Connochie. be reinstated in that position. 4 Cr Pitches to move—That the Engineer be instructed to at once have the main road from Blacks to German Hill put in repair, (as-at tho Poolburn it is almost impassable) tho cost not to exceed ten pounds sterling. 5. Cr Pitches to move—That as the County is at a loss by the Clyde ami Cromwell Commonages, it is expedient that (his Council take step? to place them on a better footing, and would propose that tenders should be called for a lease of them, to taka effect at the expiration of the present licenses. 6. Cr Fraser to move — That in future the Council hold its meetings alternatively at the County Offices, Clyde, and the County Offices, Cromwell. 7. Cr Fraser to move—That all mad works excepting works of emergency be suspended during the summer months. 8. Cr Fraser to move -That tho Council lake into consideration the ' claim of Campbell mid M'Lean f.f ft pairs effected to the Upj>er Albert Town Ferry.
