With this issue wo supply our readers with a four sheet special supplement containing 2S columns of closely printed matter ‘ ‘ entitled special Exhibition supplement,” which will be found to contain a brief history of the rise and progress of the sister colony Victoria, concise articles on the form of Government, mining, agriculture, Art, and science, and its industries, also an introductory article on the Exhibition and descriptive articles on the various Courts and their contents, it a'so presents a front v iew of the Building aud a ground plan from which some i lea of its vastness may he formed. The likeness of the Hon. W. J. Clarke, M.L.C.. President cf the Exhibition and a short sketch of his life and history is also given. The supplement as a whole is extremely valuable and will be found well worth reading.—With next and following issues will be supplied a fourteen column supplement which will contain the opening chapters of a new novel “In the coils of the Serpent ” ny Donald Cameron. We need scarcely remind onr friends and subscribers that our efforts to supply them with the Exhibition supplement and the others that are to follow is accompanied with no small expense which we hope will he recognized by a continued and increased support.
