CLYDE SCHOOL.
A meeting of the Committee of the C'yde School was held in the Library Hall on Tuesday evening last the 7th instant. Present Messrs F. J. Wilson, (Chair) Oink, Airfield, Fache, Joss, aud Cambridge.
The minutes of previous meeting were rua 1 and confirmed.

I'.-om the Edacition Biard— lta Pupil Teacher, notifying the appointment of Mr. TV. Hueston.
From the Rev. Mr Lothian, asking for the use of -School-house tor Divine Service.
From Mr Stevens, complaining of neglect in Mr Webb’s cleaning of the school. Resolved on the motion of Mr Fache, seconded by Mr Attfield —That Mr Webb receive one month’s notice of dismissal, and that applications he called fur-on tho Notice Board for a school cleaner—Applicants to ■state the rate of remuneration at per calendar month, and to be sent in to the Secretary by the 30th September instant. Mr Clark proposed, seconded by Mr Joss —That Mr Lothian bo allowed the use of the School building on Sundays, not earlier than 4 p.m. Carried. A telegram was recti ved from the Educa tinu Board, re alteration of School —Stating that the contractor cannot remove the old material till new is provided, and must have all ready before closing school. Proposed by Mr Clark, seconded by Mr Atttield -That the Contractor be not allowed to commence operations till the new material is on the ground. Carried. Resolved—That the Secretary write to the Education Board, stating that the Contractor claims all the loose desks and forms now in the School, and if it is by the authority of the Board, or by what right he does so. Resolved—That tho fence bo repaired where necessary. The following accounts were then passed for payment H. Wise, Ll3 5s 01; J. Holt, L 3 ; C. Holden, L 3 15s ; J. U. Cam bridge, 6s 101; Way-bill, 8s ; Telegram, 5i 21.
The meeting then lapsed. A special meeting was hell on Wednesday evening, when a further telegram from the Education Board was considered. The Board requested the Committee to accommodate the contractor as far as possible, and it was agreed to allow the contractor to commence work after this afternoon, the school to be conducted in the Town Hall iu tile meantime.
