Loxdox. July 30th. The Australians commenced a match against eighteen of the Alexandra Club at Ciewe, in Cheshire. I lie following were t'ue scores Australians in their first innings got 04 runs ; the Horne team 37. The second innings of the Australians closed for 2.17 runs. In the second innings of the Home team three wickets were lost for 29 ions. Ihe match was a drawn one, and tile attendance was only moderate.

August 2nd

The cricket match Australians v. Gloucester County team at Clifton was commenced to-day. Ihe lak-tendaiico at tiie match was very fine throughout the day. The Australians went first in, and were all out for 110 runs, Macdoiniell being caught out for 42 runs. The Home team then went in for their first innings, and, when stumps were drawn for the day, had lust six wickets for 123 runs.
