The match Australians v. Leicestershire team, at Leicester, was continued to day. The Home team were all out for 95 rues in their first innings, being] 47 runs behind their opponents. The Australians then went *n for their second innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day' had no wickets down fur CO runs. July 14. The Australians in their second innings when stumps were drawn, had lost seven wickets for 200 runs. 'The match was drawn. Murdoch was bowled after making 73 runs. July 17th. A match commenced on Thursday between the Australians and 18 of the Werneth Club at Oldham, Lancashire, was concluded today', and resulted in another victory for the Australians in one innings and 21 runs. The Australians in their first innings scored 110 runs, M'Donald being highest scorer with 53. The Werneth Club in their first innings scored only 38 ;in the second innincs they' were all disposed of for 60. In the first innings of Werneth men, Spofforth took 11 wickets. The wicket was very dead. The attendance of the public was very large. The Australians have now played 18 matches, 13 of which they have won, and the balance drawn mostly in their favour.
