THE LATE FIRE AT TINKERS.
(to the editor of the duxstan TIMES.) Sir—Permit mo through the medium of your paper to express my grateful acknowledgments to those kind friends who, by subscription, so generously helped to lighten the loss caused by the late fire, whereby my dwelling-house, furniture, and clothes were entirely destroyed ; and to assure them that I shall ever hold them in grateful remembrance.
I also take this occasion to thank the management of the New Zealand Insurance Coinpatiy for the very prompt manner in which my claim was met by th'cm*, only 1-1 days having elapsed from the time of the accident till the full amount of insurance was placed to my credit, thus causing me touch anxiety and probable loss.
