London - , May 27th. The Australian Cricketers commenced a match against 18 of Rochdale to day. The weather was showery during the day. The Homo team went in first, and were all disposed of tor f)2 runs. Boyle for the Australians bowled splendidly, and took ten of the Rochdale wickets. The Australians then went in, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had seven wickets down for 19-1 runs. M‘Donnell had contributed 09 towards this score when lie was given out leg before wicket. His innings was a vjry fine one. There was only a moderate attendance of the public. The Australians won by one innings and 2G runs.
