VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL.
The following is the Order Paper for the next meeting of the Council which takes place on Wednesday, the 19th May; To consider the making of a rate of one shilling in the Ton the value of all rateable property within the County.
Consideration of balance-sheet and statements of the Treasurer for the year ending 31st March, 1880, Q nd the report of the County Auditor thereon ; and to finally settle the same in accordance with section 134 of “ The Counties Act, 1870.”
Adjourned Motion. Councillor Jolly to move :—That seventeen pounds ten shillings he voted to John Perriam for removing sediment off the Wanaka Hoad ami otherwise rendering the road at the Lowburn (it for traffic after the September floods.
Notices of Motion. 1. —Or Fraser to move —That the sum of fifteen pounds be voted for repairing road from upper Albert Town Ferry to the Hawea Bridge. 2. —Cr Jo'ly lo move:—That this Council adopt such measures as will best tend to destroy the rabbits infesting tbe Commonages under their control.
3—Or Jolly to move :—That a 1 sum not exceeding (£ )be set apart for the purpose of erecting a Bridge over Boundary Creek ; head of Lake Wanaka, and otherwise making the track along the Lake lit fcr trallic. 4. —Cr Cololongh to move—That a day-man be put on the Liudis-road during the winter months 5. —Cr Oolclough to move;— That this Council take the necessary steps to establish two nurseries for the growth of trees for distribution within the County—one at either end ot the County.
