BANNOCKBURN.

(FROM OUK OWN CORRESPONDENT.) In my last I promised tn let you know the reslilta of tile different crushings on the Garrick Range. William Radford’s crushing yielded 124 ounces, but I cannot quote the weight of stone. This is not so bad for one man’s work fur the past summer, as he has been working alone for n considerable time. Since this crushing turned out so well, I hoar another party la setting in in the same locality—the old Royal Standard claim—so we may look forward to some good crushings from this locality in the spring. Samuel Williams and Co. have also finished crushing, and they are very well satisfied with the result of 140 ounces. As this party have a great deal of dead work before them, it is unlikely they will have another crushing before ihe spring.

A. Ilantoul and Latamnro have had a trial crushing of about 40 tens, the yield being 33 ounces, so they are quite satisfied that there is good money to ho made iu the old Heart of Oak claim, which h.s been lying idle for so long. Then- is ooihing fresh among the other claims on the lull. I hear, however, that Griffiths and Grenfell have struck a good roof in their claim If such is the case, it is a great pity that Mr Thomas Logan sold Ids mill which was on the very spot. On the Bannockburn Flat a large number are washing up before winter sets in ; but I do not hear of any great things. Since the damp wathei has sot iu wo have had a better supply of water, so I think the next Cromwell escort ought to be pretty good, at least so far as this district is concerned.
