AN ENVIABLE CONNECTION.
We extract the following from the report of a case, which appeared in a rcc>nt issue of the Charleston Herald, and heard before W. H. Revell, Esq., R.M.—Tho claim was for tls.—The plaintiff (Thompson) sues one Moore, (his son-in-law) for the above amount. The plaintiff having stated his case; was then examined by the Counsel for the defendant. By Counsel—l believe Mrs Moore is my daughter, to the best of my knowledge she is. (At this stage of the proceedings intense excitement wag produced in Court by the Counsel immediately retorting, “Do you want to make your wife a we.” Witness then danced round the box as. if be wore on alkot frying pan, and dgr§d defendant’s Counsel to make such allusions, although he was in a court of law he could notstand it ; witness clenched his fist and shook it ferociously at the Counsel. His Worship interfered, and told MrThompson that his first remark had drawn down and justly the remarks of Counsel. The ease was then proceeded with.
