A residents of the Northern Goldfields an the general public that his Factory bein replete with every convenience, he is no l turning out an article not to be equalled. Mr Feraud has succeeded in producing AROMATIC TONIC BITTER WINES, which are not only agreeable beverages, bu also have excellent medicinal qualities. Th following is Professor Black’s report:— “ University, Dunedin, Otago, New Zes land Laboratory. Class—Beverages. November sth, ISTS. I have examined for Mr J. D. Feraud, o Monte Christo, Clyde, Otago, two sample of Aromatic Tonic Bitters, with the follow ing result:—No. 827 is a sherry colored and No. 828 is a port wine red colorei bn Hi perfectly transuaren showing the purity of the water and othe substances employed in their manufacture. These two beverages have a slight acii chemical reaction, and possess an agreeabl cool bitter taste, blended with a sensatioi of sweetness, arising from the sacharim matter of the fruit of which they are th: fermented extract. I have also examined the aromatic am other flavoring substances used by Mi Feraud in their manufacture, and from tin proportions in which they are blended will the fruit wine, they must be pronounced perfectly safe, and free from anything liki deleterious properties.
