THE LAND BOARD.

Waitahuna, 6000 acres, 4000 sheep Run 103, Crookston, 13,000 acres, 2000 sheep. runs 100 a, and 109n, that the Chief Surveyor he requested to inform the Beard whether blocks cannot be selected for throwing open for settlement under the Agricultural leasing system. Runs 134, and 13a, 100 and 103 ; The recommendation of rhe Chief Surve\or that they be released was agreed to. Run 00, Totara, to be surveyed for sale as agricultural land, from 160 to 320 acres ; and that notice lie given the runhobler, under clause 114 of the land Act, 1877. Charles Colclongh, for Thomas Johnson, applied for a reduction of the price of his <1 oierred payment section 20, block V., Lower Hswta district.—The application was refused.

The Library Committee at Pembroke forwarded a letter requesting that one aero adjoining section 1, block VLIL, Pembroke, lie reserved as a site for a public, library. -The Governor to be recommended to comply with the request. MrJ. T. Burrell, purchaser of certain land at Arrow town at a recent sale, asked that lie should be refunded part of tiro purchase money, lamia having since been reduced in price —The Board had no power to comp’y with the request.
